Technical Support
INTRODUCTION TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT
When working with computers; two things are certain, first, that when something can go wrong it will go wrong, second, when that happens, technical support always seems to be out for coffee. Broadcasting has had a saying similar to that for over half a century.
So what does a webcasting company do?
We are blending two technologies into one. Broadcasting and the internet together for webcasting. We are bringing together the tried and true with a new frontier in social and information experience. And in our case here at the Cedar Valley Network, we want it to be family-friendly, faith-based, and encouraging to all who participate.
From the beginning we have wanted to maximize our efforts and keep things working right. We also are highly motivated to provide the listener with a positive experience that does not require a wealth of technical expertise on their part. So from the outset, our Technical Support department has been a priority. They are ready to receive your concerns, research a solution, and follow up to be certain of its outcome. In some cases, referral may be necessary, but only after any available and appropriate solutions have been attempted.
HOW TO HEAR OUR ONLINE WEBCASTING CHANNELS
![]()
For now Cedar Valley Network has the one channel webcasting on the internet with a 24-hour streaming program schedule of live and recorded shows along with Southern Gospel music. See the Network Channels page for more information about the Heart and Home Channel.
To hear the Heart and Home Channel, visit UBROADCAST.COM , click on the Downloads page and download the Ubroadcast Player. You may also need to update your Adobe software as well. Both can be done from the Downloads page and is absolutely FREE!
Once you have downloaded the player, click on the Stations Icon on the lower left of the player's black box interface. You will see a white space on the left. Enter the following numbers (without the quotation marks): "10085". Then click on the "Jump" button. That will take you to the Heart and Home Channel. Then click on the Favorites button (looks like an old-fahioned microphone) near the center bottom of the player's black box interface. You will then see a star on the right near the channel's name. Click on the star and it will mark the Heart and Home Channel in your favorites to easily get back to it in the future.
WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE
It has been found that there are two areas where our listeners need the most support: installing the broadcast player properly to insure good reception and dealing with unforeseen problems over time as personal computing habits, software and hardware change.
Please follow this guidance to try self-help first. If that does not remedy the problem, do not hesistate to contact the Technical Support department at the email address below.
1. INSTALLING THE UBROADCAST PLAYER AND OTHER NECESSARY UPDATES.
2. REINSTALLATION CONDITIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
3. CHECKING YOUR COMPUTER'S OWN SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE.
4. HOW TO OPEN A TROUBLE TICKET WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT BY EMAIL.
